Director of Business Development


The Director of Business Development is an energetic self-starter who identifies and qualifies prospective clients (builders or developers) through email, calling, and networking. Your main mission is to expand the sales pipeline and drive revenue growth. You will initiate exploratory intro calls with prospects, evaluate fit and current projects, prepare proposals and RFPs, then convert to a close. You are as much a hunter as a farmer. You prospect for new business and initiate existing client outreaches for new project opportunities. You are proactive, you take ownership, a STRONG relationship builder, and you learn quickly. You flourish with guided-autonomy and identify with having an independent and entrepreneurial spirit. You are responsible for taking the company to the next level!

Role & Responsibilities:

● Execute top of funnel sales activities: profiling, creating target lists, outbound calls, outbound emails, scheduling and conducting Intro Calls, preparing proposals, closing new business, and following up with prospects

● Be the hunter: data mine new key contacts using networking tools to gain valuable insights on potential projects which can be used in selling the companies services

● Be the farmer: Initiate existing client outreaches to strengthen loyalty and drive upcoming projects

● Conduct a multi-touch prospecting strategy designed to engage prospects and drive conversations that lead to meetings and projects

● Create and manage an active pipeline of qualified prospects while logging all sales activity in the Method CRM

Essential Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field

· 5+ years of experience successfully leading a sales initiative or project

· Ability to collect, analyze and summarize sales data

· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and Method

· Ability to manage multiple projects and help problem solve

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate amount a wide variety of audiences

· Maintain an awareness of industry and current market data

· Good interpersonal skills and effective working in a team environment

· Exceptional work ethic with the highest standard of conduct from self and others

· Extremely detail-oriented

· Travel as necessary
