Credit Manager

Reports To: CFO

Summary: Responsible for providing customer service, maintaining accounts receivable, managing collections and liens at the CO Division and assists management with office duties.

Job Duties:

  • Recording and posting daily accounts receivable payments and adjustments to respective accounts
  • Input new accounts and maintain files on each accounts receivable account with approval from the Corporate Controller/CFO

–   Conduct credit references on new credit account applications

–   Input new accounts, to include job setups

–   Review credit limits, holds

–   Contracted jobs pay application

  • Reviews monthly Age Analysis
  • Assist with customer account complaints and corresponding adjustments
  • Post customer payments to the applicable accounts and invoices electronically or by Textora system
  • Conduct routine collection calls. Prepare documentation needed for legal action relating to collection activity
  • Reconciles accounts receivable collections
  • Deposit cash/checks daily to banking institution
  • Obtain building permit receipts to correspond to job set up forms
  • Complete tax-exempt certificates
  • Scans documents into the imaging system and files
  • Maintains and promotes a safe working environment and follows all safety rules
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures

**NOTE: These are the essential, but not limited, functions of the Credit Manager position.  Management has the discretion to add to or change the duties to be performed by this position.

Education: College degree in Accounting/Finance or related field is required

Experience:

  • 4-5 years’ experience in credit and collections
  • Microsoft Office proficiency

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Ability to effectively present information one on one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • Ability to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Ability to operate computer and calculator
  • Good interpersonal, communication, organization and customer service skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit for long periods of time
  • Regularly lift and/or move 10 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move 25 lbs.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary DOE: $60K-$80K
  • Hours are normal business hours, averaging 45-50 hours per week
  • This position would start with 2 weeks of vacation and one week of sick time

  • Supervisory Responsibility: No supervisory responsibility with this position
